Funny that I brought that up, because my good friend Rowand (Blaktornado) just made a short film about that very thing…. The robotic thing, this movie doesn’t have killer trucks or over dosing on soda…

The premise of the movie is that this kid, Mitchell White, who has no friends, and is constantly bugged(bullied) by his peers is having a hard time dealing with school and live in general because of their continuous annoyance. Now where most teens would just go to their parents, start a gang, or just kill the people bothering him. Mitchell decides, with the help of an online ad, that he is going to build a robotic companion, who will serve as his new best friend.

Giving the robot the name Dell Rogers, he sets off on a wonderful adventure to the rainbow land! Where fluffy bunnies await them on every corner…
Well… Not exactly.

As Mitchell and Dell go out for a walk they stumble upon Mitchell’s school mates, which of course went over like a girl expecting to keep her dignity wile wearing a white shirt on a rainy day… The teens get into a little scrap, which leads in the robot having a slight malfunction…

I won’t go into much more, to keep from spoiling it, but as you can imagine it doesn’t work out to will…

That aside I really enjoyed this short film! At 21 mins and 47 secs, its an easy watch that doesn’t over stay its welcome!
Its beautifully shot, and doesn’t leave you feeling like you just got done watching something pointless and stupid!

I have to give Rowland and everyone involved in making this film some props! The actors, acted well, and I hope to see much more from that whole team!

I only found it a few weeks ago, not knowing that their was a season one, I was excited to find out what this “new” show was about.

About 2 episodes in I was hooked, and started to youtube different clips on it (to show friends who have never seen the show). And to my surprise their was a season one too… Well of course at this point I had to watch it! I ended up finishing the first season in about a day and a half (10 episodes, each about an hour long, so 10 hours of viewing total).

I LOVED it!
If you don’t know, the show is about a group of people that are isolated for 12 hours, who then get placed in a “post apocalyptic” area. This “study” shows what/how people would react to a major event that shakes the way us humans would normally live!

And me (being a fallout nut) I felt the NEED to watch all of it, and stock up on knowledge on how to survive.

The way I explain it to most people is Lost mixed with Mythbusters and a little bit of Dirty Jobs thrown in.
….Let me explain.

The people all of different backgrounds (fabricator/teachers/scientists/ect..) which gives them a large amount of knowledge on how to build stuff! In season one they build ALL sorts of things to help them get by, including (but not limited to) a flame thrower, telesla purifier, solar powered car, and a semi truck to escape with.

Now, thats all fun, but at certain points in the experiment, people come by to rade, steal, trade, attack, or generally destroy their new found way of life.
They also have just a limited supply of food, which is of course a problem when you are trying to live.

All in all, this show is downright amazing, I am looking forward to watching the rest of season 2, and I hope everyone reading this takes some time to watch a few episodes as well!

I give it a 9.5/10
This show is great, and should be something just about anyone could watch!
Nice mix of creative project, and I love how most of it is set up!

And though I have no real excuse, I have to say my computer has a virus, and its keeping me from working, youtube, and eating nachos wile playing WoW…. (and when I say “WoW”, I mean World of Goo… So maybe “WoG”?)

In other excuse related news!
I was also in NC, Where I lived in a cabin and only had dial up internet….
(“BEEE BEEPP BE BEEEE BEEEEEEEEEEEEPP EHHHH UEH EUHHHHHHHH” thats the sound I hear now when I try to sleep…)
I had a great time, and got to go rafting and such! (basically all the things you can’t do in NC when its winter, when we normally are up there)

So need less to say, I am sorry that I haven’t been consistent on making videos… I plan on making a bunch when school starts back up again (more stress = more productive)! I also will be setting back filming for my short film, that was planned to be this summer, to later next year…
